CCCE, in partnership with Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) announced on July 19th the addition of seven new large-scale renewable energy and storage agreements as part of CCCE’s pathway to 100% clean and renewable energy by 2030. This most recent round of agreements exceeds CCCE’s interim goal of 60% clean and renewable by 2025. CCCE is rapidly accelerating GHG reduction on behalf of our Central Coast customers.
CCCE is doing its part to increase grid reliability and resiliency by adding a diverse set of renewable sources to the grid and pairing them with storage. Please see infographic for recent agreement details.
CCCE has made important strides to accelerate renewable energy in a reliable and economical way. By partnering with SVCE to improve our purchasing power, forming California Community Power with other CCAs to further improve our purchasing power, earning an ‘A’ Credit Rating by S&P Global, and by removing the obligation to fund a ‘lock box’ to backstop our power purchase agreements, CCCE is reducing overhead and keeping costs in check for our customers. And we’re proving that. affordable, clean and renewable community energy is possible.
