LEADERSHIP
Representing our diverse region.
As a public agency, CCCE is governed by a Policy Board and an Operations Board comprised of elected officials, city managers and city administrators. This governing structure assures that the voices from each city and county served by CCCE will have a seat at the table when important decisions regarding CCCE policies and operations are being made.
To further assure that the unique needs of our diverse community are heard, CCCE formed a Community Advisory Council during our first year of operation. All CCCE Board Meetings and Community Advisory Council Meetings are open to the public and CCCE welcomes input from the communities we serve.

Central Coast Community Energy created this page to keep our customers informed and to provide opportunities to learn more about energy policies and the regulatory and legislative process that shapes them. The Community Choice Energy (CCE) model, also known as Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) has been growing quickly since the first CCA ā MCE (formally Marin Clean Energy) ā formed in 2008 and launched service in 2010. Since then, the energy market in California has evolved significantly and will continue to do so. Facing competition from Investor-Owned Utilities, ambitious goals from California legislators and continued mandates from the California Public Utilities Commission, all CCAs have a vested interest in closely monitoring key regulatory and legislative issues. This page highlights some of the key issues and directs visitors to other valuable resources.
The Power Charge Indifference Adjustment is the above market price that your utility provider charges all of its customers. For PG&E or SCE bundled customers, that fee is part of their generation rates. For customers receiving generation service from CCCE, that fee is distinct and shown in the bill. The key fact is that CCCE generation rates combined with the PCIA is lower than your utility provider’s rates charged to their bundled customers, for more information on PCIA, visit here.
