Monterey Bay Community Power toCommemorate  “Turning on” Green Energy for Tri-County Area

WHAT: Press Conference and Reception Celebrating MBCP’s First Official Day of Service for Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz Counties

WHEN: March 1, 2018 at 11 AM – 12:30 PM

WHY: Monterey Bay Community Power staff, along with County and City elected officials, City Managers and MBCP Board Members will commemorate MBCP’s first official day as Tri-County’s new electricity provider. Confirmed speakers include Tom Habashi, MBCP CEO, and Bruce McPherson, Santa Cruz County Supervisor and MBCP Policy Board Chair.

VISUALS: MBCP Board Members including Tri-County elected officials will be in attendance. Ceremonial “turning on” green energy for Tri-County by CEO Tom Habashi on iconic steps of Monterey City Hall.
