Electrifying Our Transportation Resources
Here in the Central Coast region, transportation contributes to 60% of our local greenhouse gas emissions.
Between gasoline and diesel emissions, the Central Coast emits over 4.5 million metric tons of transportation related greenhouse gas emissions and spends close to $2 billion per year to fuel over 1 million vehicles.
Electrifying the transportation sector has tremendous environmental, social and economic benefits. Every gallon of fuel that is switched to electricity is money that can be spent locally and invested in sustainability of the Central Coast.
Economic and Environmental Benefits
3CE is providing communities with the keys to progress in these two important areas: economy and environment.

Supporting local schools and the adoption of electric school buses through a powerful partnership. 3CE and Monterey Bay Air Resources District (MBARD) have partnered to fund 100% of the cost to replace at least six traditional school buses with electric buses.
This energy program helps ensure your school district has the opportunity to replace your diesel school buses with clean running electric buses and reduce overhead costs while improving local air quality.
