Energy Resiliency

Energy Resiliency for our Community

Power outages are hurting our region
Extended power outages such as PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoff events threaten the lives of vulnerable 3CE customers, negatively impact economic activity and disrupt operations through out our region.

Building a resilient Central Coast
3CE is accelerating the adoption of reliable backup power, also known as energy resiliency, by providing technical and financial resources to commercial and residential customers.

Powering new opportunities
Not unlike the two-fold benefits of clean energy – economic and environmental – backup power can do more than simply maintain critical operations during prolonged power outages. In some cases, backup power can create new revenue streams and drive down energy costs.

Current Resiliency Energy Programs:

Responding to community needs for backup power
Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) allocated $25 million to create the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Fund to accelerate the adoption of reliable backup power for eligible public and private entities operating critical facilities.

3CE wants to help its customers maintain critical operations during prolonged power outages, such as those caused by PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff events or other natural disasters.
