Why is 3CE Incentivizing Clean Vehicles?
Protect the Planet
Lowering emissions means cleaner air for our community and a healthier planet for everyone.
Currently, EVs make up only 2% of all vehicles in the
Central Coast Region.
To meet statewide goals and shape the Central Coast as an innovative leader in sustainability, our region’s EV adoption must grow to 15% by 2030.

Enjoy the Ride
Transportation contributes to an estimated 41% of California’s greenhouse gas emissions.
Between gasoline and diesel emissions, the Central Coast emits over 4.5 million metric tons of transportation related greenhouse gas emissions and spends close to $2 billion per year to fuel over 1 million vehicles.
Save Money
Electrifying the transportation sector has tremendous environmental, social and economic benefits.
Reduced gas expenses and less maintenance means more savings for you.
Every gallon of fuel switched to electricity reduces our local GHG emissions and is money kept locally, invested in sustainability of the Central Coast.
